Black in Rehab Foundation
Florida
The Black in Rehab Foundation is a Florida-based nonprofit that builds community among Black occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, assistants, and students. Through retreats, workshops, and mentorship, the foundation grows Black representation across the rehabilitation professions, the same professions that deliver many of the related services written into children's IEPs.

Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative
Sumner County, Tennessee
The Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative is a Tennessee 501(c)(3) that works to make Sumner County more livable for individuals with special needs, disabilities, or neurodivergence. The collaborative connects families to local resources through its online resource directory and the annual Regional Special Needs Expo, supports special education teams in local schools, and hosts retreats for caregivers.

Many of the children we serve receive occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech-language services through their IEPs. The professionals who deliver those services sit at the IEP table, and families are better served when the people across that table reflect and understand their communities.
Closer to home, Sumner County is where we host our free parent workshops, and the Collaborative's resource network reaches the same families those workshops serve. You will find us at its annual Regional Special Needs Expo.
